The beginning of February means one thing: Valentines Day promos like crazy. Let's be honest, the Valentines Day assault begins December 26th nowadays. I'm not a huge fan of the holiday, but I LOVE chocolate. Here's a great giveaway from HSN Chocolates, a great company that donates some proceeds to Samaritan's Purse. To enter the giveaway, leave a comment here describing your love for chocolate.  This giveaway closes Friday, Feb 11 at 11:59pm.

My MIL turned me on to dark chocolate, which is currently my favorite. Growing up white chocolate was my favorite, which I don't think has any cocoa in it!

Edible endorphins, the next best thing to running. My favorite combination is probably chocolate and peanut butter but really, I'll eat just about any chocolate if it's on hand.

Chocolate cures anything and everything. I've been known to break into a bag of chocolate chips and snag a handful when we didn't have anything else around. It's probably my favorite food in the world and it deserves its own food group!!

DARK CHOCOLATE. 65-70% is optimal, the perfect balance between richness and sweetness. The Belgian knows how to make wonderful chocolate. Chocolate with hazelnuts and raspberry make a balance meal. Chocolate with Espresso Bean is the perfect pick-me-upper. Drinking Chocolate is the sublime beverage on a cold night. Serendipity's Frozen Hot Chocolate is a must if you are in New York City. I am known to have chocolate before breakfast,mid-afternoon snack, and late-night munchies. My husband and I share a deep passion for Dark Chocolate which one of the children (so far) has inherited. The 16 mo old is still too young. We buy chocolate only occasionally because we can't afford the really good stuff. However, my hubby brought several bars recently after reading on the news that there will be a limit supply of chocolate soon.

I could go on and on. Yes, I am a certified chocoholic. White chocolate is not chocolate, enough said.

My love for all things chocolate, because I have yet to meet anything chocolate I don't like, is pretty simple and straight-forward: Chocolate is always there. It gives me the warm fuzzy feelings to soothe a broken or wounded heart. It also gives that little jump-start to my day when coffee just doesn't cut it. And then, there are those few days every month, when let's be honest here...*everything* is about chocolate. Any way you cut, no matter what day it happens to be, chocolate is absolutely one of the single best inventions on the planet and I love it for all of it's wonderful properties.
